Know a "Fearless Leader" in Milwaukee?

I do. Her name is Kari Behling. She is a single mom with two biological children and one adopted child. She is in the process of adopting another child, which she is currently fostering. This woman gives and gives and gives, and still manages to give some more. In the last decade or so, she has fostered 40 children. Aside from her work with foster kids, Kari mentors refugee families when they arrive in the country. She also volunteers many hours at her church. Her values are being passed along to her children. Her 12-year-old son has raised thousands of dollars for AIDS research -- although the family is not personally touched by the disease.
It is people like Kari, those making a difference in our community while not seeking the spotlight or financial gain, who are Milwaukee's Fearless Leaders. In January, we are celebrating these leaders at a special event, hosted by VITAL Source Magazine. Anyone can nominate a Fearless Leader. And the public will vote on who is most deserving of this title.
Simply visit: www.vitalsourcemag.com and click the Fearless Leaders button. Nominations will be accepted through Friday, October 31, 2008. On November 3, VITAL Source will unveil the nominees on its website and invite Milwaukee to cast their votes.
